Lesson on Timing

Numbers 9:15-23 - In this particular Scripture passage, the Israelites are a mobile community and God is directing them on when to stay or move from a particular location by a cloud that is hovering above the Tabernacle. If the cloud moves, they are to leave. If the cloud remains, they stay. Setting up the Tabernacle was a job; however, if God told them to move after being somewhere only two days, that is what they were to do.

This passage made me think that often times I am inflexible to my routine or schedule to be in tune with what God wants me to do. God's timing is perfect in all situations so I should learn to follow Him more with my schedule than my Franklin Covey planner. It doesn't mean to stop planning, but be open for God to say "It's time to move on." If it were only as easy as following a cloud. It requires a constant connection with God to understand where His will is for me to be.
