Messianic Judaism in a nutshell is this... observing the Jewish traditions and feasts while acknowledging that Yeshua (Jesus the Christ) is the Messiah. While I don't believe that by observing the Jewish customs will make you a believer, I do believe that by observing and understanding the customs you will know Yeshua at a different level. He certainly did not abandon His Jewishness when He walked on earth. He is a Jew and that is reason enough to study and understand Judaism.

Each day comes with lessons attached. Some are about life, money, family, God, etc... Here are a few deep thoughts (ok, not really deep) from a mortgage man (What is a mortgage man? A loan officer. :))

The tragedy at Virginia Tech
Living in southwestern Virginia, it was hard to hear the news unravelling this past Monday as one evil man took the lives of 32 people. I can't understand how or why someone could do what he did. I can't understand what the parents of these students are going through. I can't understand how the students that saw the shootings took place go to sleep at night with such horrific visuals that must be embedded in their mind forever. I simply can't understand.
God has given us life to live and live it to the extreme. It is sad when life is robbed by someone that does not even value his own. It is also sad when our culture will look for all of the reasons that this man's culture caused him to do such a thing. The blame lies in evil and evil alone.
My prayers go out and will continue to go out toward everyone affected by this tragedy. Virginia Tech will rise again. Being a native from South Carolina, I have never caught on to being a Hokie fan; however, I am sincere in saying this time "Go Hokies!"
